CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 2025 Conference Organising Committee calls for the submission of individual abstracts on any topic connected to law, technology and innovation.

We are open to diverse methodologies and welcome scholars from diverse disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary approaches.

Scholars from all career stages are encouraged to submit.

Submissions

Conference Workshops / Streams
The conference will be hosting workshops/streams at any time over the conference period from the 9 to 11 July (from one session to 3 days).

To submit for a workshop, the stream lead must provide a 400 - 500 word proposal for a set of related talks/panels/discussions that aligns with the broad theme of the conference (law and technology).

Those submitting proposals will be also be asked for the name and affiliation of the workshop/stream lead, keywords, and how many days or sessions are required. The workshop/stream lead is responsible for developing a program over the relevant time and will be the primary contact.

If you want to discuss your idea prior to submission, please contact the conference organiser who can put you in touch with a committee member.
Oral Presentations
The conference organising committee invites submissions of individual abstracts (200 - 500 words) on any topic connected to law, technology and innovation.

Oral presentations will form the majority of the main conference program. The length of these presentations will be confirmed after submission outcomes have been sent.

Step 2 - Prepare your abstract. This will be copied / pasted or entered as text in the form. There is no set template for submissions.
Step 3 - Prepare biography (third person, paragraph format) and author / presenter list.
Step 4 -  Submit your abstract using the relevant link above.

Please note that the account details are not connected to any membership database or previous events, all authors should create a new account.

December 2024 - All authors will be contacted by the end of 2024 with the outcome of their submission
PhD/ECR Workshop
We will run a small, selective PhD/ECR workshop on 9 July (with mentoring opportunities and prizes). When submitting an abstract, you will be asked whether you are interested in being considered for this workshop. Those accepted for the workshop will have an opportunity to get feedback on their paper from peers and mentors, as well as the opportunity to win prizes.

Conditions

It is policy that the author must present the paper in person at the conference.

The presenting author must register their attendance and pay via the speaker registration form.  

Full written papers will not be required, however supporting documents such as Powerpoints and handouts will be required 2 weeks prior to the conference. They will be included in the conference app for delegates to access.

Presentations must be the author's own research and work. Text generated from AI, machine learning, or similar algorithmic tools cannot be used. The use of AI for editing or translation purposes or where the use of AI is part of the paper’s methodology and that use is disclosed are permitted

Commercialisation in the form of promoting a specific organisation or product will not be tolerated in submissions.

The biography entered may be used in print material, the conference app and by the session chair to introduce your presentation.
